C 1 - HDSP™

The C 1 complements the KS AUDIO C-series of compact 2-way systems with its special dispersion behaviour HDSP, and the even sound pressure right down to the low frequency range with the smallest dimensions at the same time.

Thanks to the heavy-duty voice coils of the 10” chassis and the 1” driver, the C 1 can be operated with 500Wrms continuous power - the peak power is over 1000W.

A unique feature is the design of the mid/high range waveguide and its adaptation to the bass-midrange driver in the associated controller electronics. The result is a downward widening dispersion angle, whereby the vertical curvature of the wave front continues in the range of the crossover frequency, where no dips can be detected. With the usual positioning of the loudspeaker, the result is a very balanced level distribution across the entire listening area with very homogeneous sound distribution.

The 10” long excursion driver features a powerful lightweight neodynium magnet. The driver’s ring diaphragm is made of a special foil that produces significantly less distortion than comparable titanium diaphragms.

There is hardly any application where the C 1 cannot be used successfully: Theatre sound reinforcement, live music stages, decentralised sound reinforcement of large rooms and marquees, delay systems for remote areas or as a compact mid-high system in conjunction with the CB 18 active woofer of the SAT 3.

As with all KS AUDIO systems, the cabinet construction is made of birch plywood and has an extremely robust anthracite-coloured PU coating. On request, the surface can be painted in any RAL colour. A steel protective grille with or without acoustic fleece are further features of this high-quality product.

The rear-mounted connection plate carries 2x speakON NL4 and the passive crossover.

At the bottom there is a pole mount socket to accept the standard 35mm speaker stands.

The MR C1 mounting frame is available for safe flying operatio
