CPD 26

The big brother of the CPD 06 is the CPD 26. Not only is it louder than the CL 206 due to the use of an additional 6" mid/low speaker, but due to the W/T/W arrangement of the speakers, it also projects the sound better.

The KS CPD 26 is an all-round talent, made for a wide variety of tasks in the field of sound reinforcement: supportive speaker for theater, sound reproduction in the multimedia sector, background music in bars and restaurants or 100V build-in speaker on walls and ceilings in high quality.

As a mid-high range system in combination with subwoofers such as the CPD B2, the CPD 26 represents a completed small PA system.

However, where the CPD 26 presents itself very favourably compared to other products is that it excels remarkably in its STI (Speech transmission index).

A waveguide for the 1.5′′ diaphragm driver with an evenly wide sound projection is integrated in the sound baffle. The two 6′′ speakers are protected on the entire front with a grill, which is lined with acoustic foam.

Tuning of the cabinet is achieved using a tunnel on the rear side, which allows a remarkably powerful reproduction of the bass frequencies.

The 2-way DSP controller amplifier built into the rear operates with very high efficiency and requires no cooling fan. The FIR crossover and EQ filter shapes are precisely matched to the loudspeakers, and limiters ensure safe operation.

The power electronics include a Class D output stage for the low-midrange chassis and a Mosfet output stage with best audio properties for the ring-radiator.

The electronically balanced input is designed as XLR F+M sockets.

In addition to the mains connection, further operating elements are available: A digital level control for individual adjustment to the location and a delay of up to 40m for use as a delay loudspeaker in relation to a main loudspeaker system.

The cabinet is made of multi-layered birch plywood and has a matt black PU coating. It is well-shaped, robust, insensitive to weather impact and has amazing acoustic qualities.

M6 thread, flush-mounted connectors, plus various accessories such as the ball-joint wall mount facilitate handling.

High-quality components, best materials and precision workmanship determine the quality of the CPD 26. The complete front is made of low-resonance PU resin and serves to provide an even sound radiation.

A version with 100V audio transformer is also available, for which an in-wall cabinet can be provided. Special designs and surfaces can be manufactured individually upon request.
